To my Owen,

Hello dear! I know it has been a while, but Umma wanted to document this joyous milestone. Yesterday (at exactly 15 months old), you have started walking!! Hooray! You and I were laughing and so excited and giddy together after you took multiple steps in a row. I always knew you could do it, and when you are ready, you truly shine like a star.

Some words that you have been saying these days are: umma, appa, mung mung (for dog), bool (for light), ma-ma (for food), and a whole lot of babbling and jibberish. You also have a huge grin on your face when Umma says "chika chika time" for time to brush your teeth (since the toothpaste is so sweet!). You understand so much of what mommy and daddy say, and you have been loving books. You would pick up a book, lift it up to us, and do a cute babble in the form of a question, asking for us to read a certain book to you. You are also very particular in which book we read, it must be one that you bring over to us. Your teachers at daycare told us that you are the "class clown" - imagine that! They say that you make everyone else laugh, especially the younger ones. You and your friends would crawl-chase each other around, back and forth and around the classroom. You have been eating so very well too - all sorts of fruits such as clementines, apples, avocado, banana, pears, and both american and korean food. Last month, we went away to Goshen, Connecticut with some of mommy and daddy's friends, and you even tried pizza for the first time from a famous pizza place called Frank Pepe's. You definitely enjoyed that one.

When you read this later on, I really would like you to know how much you have been enjoying us as your parents. You never fail to have a huge grin on your face whenever you see us. You find dad to be so funny, and we will do anything and everything silly to make you laugh. Mommy and daddy have been so busy at work these days, and we are even a bit stressed, but whenever we think of you, it puts so much into perspective. We would text each other during the work day, saying "I can't wait to hug Owie", or "I miss Owie". You are so loved, and you bring so much warmth and value to our family. We will continue to work hard, thinking of you and your future. We love you so much, more than we thought our heart could ever love.

Love,
Mommy
